St. Paul Resilient Center

Oakville, LA

footprints of the past are the blueprints for the future

The St. Paul Benevolent Association of Oakville was founded in 1904 to provide mutual aid for the community’s residents. At the time, institutions like this were necessary in African American communities who were denied access to medical care. Today, community health is threatened by toxic industry and intensifying storms. St. Paul plays an important role in protecting residents and fostering collaboration.
